Prior to forming YMNet in 2003, Bill and Levin had worked together in IT for several years. Computer and internet technology was moving rapidly and schools needed to adapt to the changes to enhance the education of students. Bill and Levin found that schools were challenged in providing safe, reliable, and secure access to technology as well as guidance on how to invest and standardize in the correct hardware and software. After helping a school that had all of it's computer systems infected by the MSBlast virus, they decided to start a company that would not be just another vendor, but a partner for technology.
